Let's talk!

-By Natalia vasquez

October just arrived, it is here and it brings us happiness, scares and a lot, a lot of candies. Halloween, the party of all ages is here with new costumes each year, new surprises and new ideas.  You can choose from buying one costume or making one yourself!

Home- made costumes are sometimes better than traditional ones because they have 10 times  or maybe 100 times more creativity and the probability to find the same costume is almost impossible.  Here, some ideas you can use.

However, some persons may like more traditional costumes so for them, here are also some ideas, remember you can find them at “Cachivaches”. Prices vary between sixty and one hundred thousand pesos. And they have costumes for you no matter age.

For babies, animal costumes are the favorite ones.

Young children’s go for fantastic characters of movies or TV programs, here, some girls and boys costumes you may like.

And finally for “big” ones, some beautiful costumes

Finally, Halloween success depends on you, wear your costume with personality, don't let others ruin your day. It is your time to shine being probably a princess, someone you admire or even yourself in a few years developing your favorite profession.

Candy Bark

You just have to spread a considerable quantity of melted chocolate on a tray (preferably a flat one) and then fill it with any candy you want! In my opinion, I will choose a lot more of other chocolates such as Kit Kats, M&M’s, Reese’s and Twix.

Then, you put the tray on the refrigerator and wait until the chocolate is solid. Finally, you cut it in various pieces and enjoy.

Easy, delicious and Funny Halloween Treats

Pretzel Pumpkins:

You just need three little things: a bag of pretzels, orange candy coating and green M&M’s. The basic idea is to submerge the pretzels in the melted candy coating and let it cool. Then, with a half green M&M, you try to make an impression of a leaf at the top of the pretzel. And there you have it, a delicious mini “pumpkin”!

Peanut Butter Eyeballs

So this recipe requires a little bit more of ingredients but it is definitely worth it. In a bowl, you’ll need to mix the peanut butter plus powdered sugar and vanilla until a smooth mixture is formed. Then, you fill a cookie tray with a whole lot of this peanut butter mixture scoops and cover them with white candy coating without missing the M&M to represent the little pupil of the eye. Finally, you put them in the refrigerator and wait until they cool so you can enjoy.

White Mummy Cookies

You’ll need of a bunch of any chocolate sandwich cookie (I would choose definitely Oreos) and cover them with melted white chocolate. Then, with chocolate eyeballs, you fill each cookie and introduce all of them in the refrigerator. After a little freezing, you can totally delight in the delicious Mummy Cookies!

Bones

This is actually an easy one. You’ll just need pretzel sticks, marshmallows and melted white chocolate. At each end of the pretzel stick you place a marshmallow and then dip it into the chocolate. Later, you’ll have to place the new “bones” in the refrigerator and after they cool, you can totally enjoy this original and tempting snack.
