MUSIC IS YOUR SOUL

by: Valentina Zubieta 10B

Music is in essence, the soul of each person. As you may have noticed, songs can express happiness, humor, drama, hopelessness, pain and all the good and blue feelings that the artist feels. Composers of all kinds of music genres convey their ideas and feelings through their songs and rhythms, and listeners also express their feelings through that music.

That is why we have to respect every type of music. When you try to make fun of the musical taste of any person, no matter the age, in that right moment you are hurting and damaging more than their feelings, you are getting rid of his or her soul in the most feral way. Why? Well, because music is the power that leads to the creation of a “transportation guide” in that deep and complicated expression of each human. Additionally, all feelings and moods can be related as susceptible waves that have the ability to convert into a melody that is able to reach and touch the heart of not only your surroundings, but also the people that are not close to you.

In other words, as I mentioned above, music is everything. It is the reason why we live and why we have motivation in life, despite all the obstacles and bad moments that we constantly face. Also, music is like an engine that never stops pushing when we have to overcome a tragic situation. As a result, it would be totally accurate to affirm that we have created a new type of catharsis that we should maintain and express no matter the conditions. At the same time, music is responsible for giving us the beat that opens our eyes and helps us to see the reality in another perspective. And, it is also a personal treasure that nobody can take away from anyone, because if one person realizes the dimension of one simple verse, that person will discover a door that guides him or her toward the most internal thoughts and pure feelings of the other person.

In conclusion, music is the magic and the sound of our spirit. It has always been among us every day since we were born.

Nevertheless, for some of us, it took a long time to embrace and to hear it in the best way, in order to know ourselves. It doesn’t matter how small or big you are, this type of liberation can transport you into a world in which you are the only one, in which you have the ability to travel through time, to revive a special moment again, and to persist in a world in which no one can judge you for who you are, what you think or what you are not.
